Various laboratories have been established to help the students in their academic pursuits. The college has a well-equipped computer lab for computer aided instruction and practical sessions. The different laboratories in the institution include a modern media laboratory, technology laboratory, psychology laboratory, science laboratory and computer laboratory.
The Modern media laboratory is a miniature language laboratory where students can practice their listening and speaking skills. It has a seating capacity of 25 students.
The psychology lab is specially equipped with apparatus of simple experiments related to educational psychology. Some of them are Memory Drum, Depth Perception instrument, Muller Layer Illusion apparatus, etc. All the latest tests, both verbal and nonverbal, Aptitude Tests, Creativity tests, Personality inventories, Attitude tests and Interest inventories are available. For per personal assessment projective techniques such as Rorschach Ink Blot test, TAT, etc are also available in the laboratory. The psychology laboratory is extensively used by the M.Ed. students and the staff members for research purposes. For doing practicums B.Ed. students make use of psychology lab. They are also familiarized with different tests.
An atmosphere of developing scientific temperament is nurtured in our institution through fully equipped and suitably designed laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Our labs are well-stocked with ample chemicals, specimens, and instruments to support experiments required by schools up to the plus-two level. Student teachers are encouraged to use these facilities to practice their laboratory skills from a pedagogic perspective. This experience prepares them to be competent and confident during their school internships.
The college has a computer lab with 29 computers, Visualizer, Printers, LCD, Interactive White Board, White Boards and Green Boards. In addition to these, the student teachers are free to make use of the laboratory for preparing power point presentations, project works, computer aided learning packages and software related to education. The seating capacity of Computer lab is 40. Hykon AE 5000/120 V Alpha online UPS is available in the Computer Lab.
