Admission
  1. Admission of students is carried out as per government regulations. 85% of the seats are filled from the list prepared by the govt. on the basis of merit. 15% of the seats are filled from the list prepared by the management on the basis of merit.
  2. Students selected for the course will have to submit the following certificates at the time of admission. (No admission will be made, without producing anyone of the following)
    • Transfer Certificate from the college last attended.
    • S.S.L.C Book
    • Marklists of the qualifying degree (complete set)
    • Degree diplomas (Qualifying certificates)
    • Relieving order (in the case of teachers in service)
    • A recent conduct certificate.
  3. They should pay the fees along with the special fees and Caution Deposit.
  4. Stipends and subsistence allowance are paid as per government rules to students.
  5. Admission to the college is subject to the rules and regulations of the Government / University / NCTE.
  6. A student who has enlisted himself/ herself on payment of the first instalment of fee will be liable to pay the fee and special fee for the whole year in the event of his / her discontinuing studies or leaving with T.C.
Fee Schedule

Graduates of other universities should produce in addition to the certificates (in original) of examination passed, a treasury receipt for Rs. 100/- being the fee for registering the applicant as a matriculate of the Mahatma Gandhi University, the Migration Certificate and a treasury receipt for Rs. 150/-being the fee for considering the application for recognition of their qualifying examination. All special fee, tuition fee, and caution deposit are payable at the time of admission.

Admission / Allotment of seats is governed according to the University rules and regulations.

Fee Schedule
Elementary Teacher Education Course ( Diploma In Education – D.El.Ed. )

Annual Intake : 50

The elementary teacher education programme is meant for preparing teacher for elementary schools. (Primary and upper primary / middle).

Duration and intake
  1. The elementary teacher education programme is of two years duration
  2. For effective curriculum transaction and for ensuring optimum utilisation of physical and instructional infrastructure and expertise of the teaching staff, there shall be a unit of 50 students for intake each year.
Eligibility
  1. Candidates with at least 45% marks in the senior secondary examination (+2), or its requiralent, are eligible for admission.
  2. Admission should be made either on the basic of marks obtained in the qualifying examination or in the entrance examination conducted by the state Govt., as per the policy of the State Govt.
  3. There shall be reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC, Handicapped, Women, etc. as per the rules of the concerned State Govt.

Admission / Allotment of seats is governed by a Centralized Allotment Process.

Fee Schedule

Fee Schedule is fixed as per the norms of the Govt. / University.

Curriculum Transaction and number of working days is determined by the State Council of Education and Research, Thiruvananthapuram – SCERT

Paper VIII – Learning of Art eucation, psysical education, work experience & I.T.

Written examination for paper I and II in first year and for the other papers in the second year. C.E. for all papers in first and Second year.
